A roundabout is being planned at the intersection of Highway 9 and Getchell Road east of Marysville. The state Department of Transportation wants to design the roundabout and start construction by 2014.
An open house is planned from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Marysville Getchell High School, 8301 84th Street NE, Marysville. The public will have an opportunity to review plans, look at before-and-after images and talk with staff.
The meeting site is accessible to persons with disabilities. Accommodations for people with disabilities can be arranged with advance notice by calling 206-770-3500. Audition for talent show: The Marysville Strawberry Festival Talent Show seeks talent for the 2013 auditions to be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 8 and 9 at the Marysville Pilchuck High chool auditorium, 5611 108th St. NE. The deadline for entries is May 3. The Talent Show will be held June 13.
All ages, solo or group, in music, dance, comedy and more are invited to audition.

Healthy kids: The YMCA of Snohomish County is sponsoring Healthy Kids Day on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. This free community event will feature fun, educational activities for families to improve health and well-being. The goal is to inspire kids and families to stay physical and intellectually active all summer long.
