Prep softball: Meadowdale 6, Shorecrest 1

SHORELINE -- With some help from Ashley Brooke in the form of a 2-run home run, Meadowdale scored four in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie. The Wesco 3A South leading Mavericks went on to defeat their closest rival for that position and remain undefeated in league play this season. Katie Champoux's RBI single in the first accounted for Shorecrest's only run.
