SEATAC — A Seattle-Tacoma International Airport spokesman says an airport worker suffered numerous injuries Tuesday night when the piece of equipment he was driving crashed into a stationary forklift.
Spokesman Perry Cooper said the man in his 40s was taken to Harborview Medical Center. His condition was not known.
KOMO-TV reported that the driver was thrown from his equipment — called a “tug” — and landed next to the forklift.
Cooper said surveillance video shows the driver slump in his seat before the crash, which might indicate he suffered a medical problem.
Airport operations weren’t affected.
