The senior -- who missed the first nine games of the season with a broken finger -- has returned with a force and continued her dominance Wednesday pitching a two-hit shutout in a 10-0 Eagles' Wesco 4A win over Jackson.
Ladines, the No. 3 hitter in Arlington's lineup, also batted 4-for-5 with a two-run home run.
"The minute she came back she started contributing," said Arlington head coach Dan Eng. "It's really nice to have your team captain and your leader back. The minute she started playing it showed up really fast."
Ladines struck out 13 in the victory over the Timberwolves. She is 4-0 since returning on the mound, and along with pitcher Hayley Fields, the Eagles pitchers haven't given up a run in six straight games.
"(Ladines) is starting to get her stamina back," Eng said. "Earlier she started tiring out in the middle of the fifth (inning). She's starting to get her strength back. I figure a couple more games and she should be pretty much ready to go."
