Michael Kent Wylie, 48, was wanted in connection with the armed robbery of an Edmonds woman at her home Tuesday.
"Detectives conducted an exhaustive investigation interviewing a number of witnesses before identifying the suspect," Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said Friday.
After the Edmonds robbery, Wylie was involved in a police pursuit in the Seattle area and took off to Oregon in a stolen car.
Wylie allegedly pulled a gun on an Oregon cop who approached him while the man was sleeping in a car on an overpass. During the confrontation, Wylie was shot.
He remained hospitalized in Oregon Friday. He is expected to face charges in the Edmonds case.
