SURREY, B.C. — Five people were killed in a collision Sunday not far from the United States border in Surrey, B.C.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police say it appears a minivan sped through a red light and hit a mid-size car with such force it was torn in half.
Sgt. Dale Carr says three adults and two children in the car died at the scene. The man driving the minivan was transported by air to a hospital.
Names of the victims have not been released.
