Wayne Frisby, aka Mac Wayne, is now under investigation for reportedly attempting to intimidate a witness in a Marysville homicide.
The witness is a figure in the investigation of the January death of Arthur Schroeder, 82. He was fatally stabbed in his Marysville trailer.
According to a police report filed Monday in Everett District Court, Frisby in February called the witness and threatened to rape and kill her and another member of her family. Detectives have obtained records and spoken with another person who later acknowledged listening to Frisby make the call.
Frisby reportedly is friends with a potential suspect in the Schroeder case. Detectives have chased rumors that somebody has been shooting at witnesses with an "Uzi type gun," the police report said. "These witnesses have refused to go on record as victims as they are extremely afraid."
Frisby, 28, now is locked up in the Snohomish County Jail. He is accused of robbing a woman of her car keys and cutting off a handful of her hair. Frisby was scheduled to be arraigned on the robbery charge Monday. The hearing was bumped a day after he refused to acknowledge his identity. Authorities planned to use fingerprints to confirm that the man they booked is Frisby.
