The Bumbershoot lineup was announced last night in grand fashion. I have never seen a room full of better dressed people in Seattle than at last night’s prom night Bumbershoot announcement party. Allen Stone and his band took the stage dressed for the occasion. Allen seemed to be channeling his inner Willy Wonka and he made it look good!

The band played two sets last night, taking a break in the middle for a video (see below) to be shown that would announce the 2013 Bumbershoot lineup. The lineup this year has something for everybody with performances from artists like Kendrick Lamar, Heart, Crystal Castles, The Zombies, and what is sure to turn into a rave scene with Bassnectar.

As always there will be tons of local bands playing, such as Allen Stone, Sol, The Grizzled Mighty, Kris Orlowski, Hot Bodies In Motion, River Giant, Kithkin, The Commettes and many others.

The thing I have to be most excited about from the Bumbershoot lineup is that Death Cab For Cutie will be playing their landmark album "Transatlanticism" in its entirety to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its release. So I will be standing right in front of the stage singing every word to every song while they do that.

Below the video is the day-by-day lineup. You can purchase single-day tickets (which is rare these days) and three-day passes here.
