EVERETT -- Archbishop Murphy took the first game of a Cascade Conference doubleheader, but Coupeville's entire squad rallied in the second game to earn the split. The Wildcats pulled away in the first game behind three-hit performances from Alyson Matriotti and Nicole Manuel. Coupeville roared back to win the later game, scoring 17 runs with the help of literally the entire team.
Every Coupeville player who came to the plate in the second game had at least one hit, one RBI and one run scored. The Wolves' big push came in the final three innings when they scored a combined 11 runs. This became necessary after Gemma Miller and the Wildcats retook the lead, overcoming an early 5-0 deficit. Miller led the charge, hitting 2-run home runs in back-to-back at bats.
