About to head to the VMAC for the first day of the Seahawks’ rookie minicamp, but first a quick note that the team has announced the signing of seven of its 11 draft picks. With the new CBA that was signed in 2011, there is a lot less drama involving getting rookies signed. Gone are the days of long holdouts by first-round picks, because the money is pretty much slotted for each pick. Still, it’s worth pointing out when the deals get done, so here you go.
Signed: DT Jordan Hill, WR Chris Harper, DT Jesse Williams, TE Luke Willson, G Ryan Seymour, DE Ty Powell, G Jared Smith.
Still unsigned: RB Christine Michael, CB Tharold Simon, RB/FB Spencer Ware, T Michael Bowie.
The Seahawks also announced the signing of eight undrafted free agents. And these aren’t new names, the team announced it had agreed to terms with UFAs following the draft, but these deals are now official: WR Matt Austin, T Alvin Bailey, DE Kenneth Boatright, LB Ramon Buchanan, LB John Lotulelei, S Ray Polk, G Jordon Roussos, LB Craig Wilkins
