As of 5:30 p.m., the outages were down to several thousand, mostly in the Stanwood and Lake Goodwin areas, a PUD spokesman said.
In one incident, a tree hit a house and went through the roof at a home in the 13700 block of 228th Street SE, near Echo Lake east of Maltby, according to Snohomish County Fire District 7.
A woman who was home at the time suffered minor injuries. Damage to the home was described as significant. Crews turned off power and gas as a safety precaution.
Crews in District 7 had responded to at least three wind-related incidents as of press time, spokeswoman Autumn Waite said.
Off-and-on windy conditions are predicted in the Everett area throughout this week, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle. Spring flooding also is possible throughout mid week along rivers draining the Cascade Range.
