TACOMA -- Tacoma officials say a 59-year-old firefighter has died after suffering an apparent heart attack while working at a medical aid call.
Tacoma Fire Department spokesman Joe Meinecke said Albert Nejmeh died Tuesday at St. Joseph Medical Center.
The 12-year fire department veteran was given immediate basic and advanced life support by fellow firefighters after he collapsed Tuesday morning. They then took him to the hospital.
