Prep softball: Kamiak 10, Monroe 9 (8)

MONROE -- Kristyna Phan batted 2-for-4 with two home runs and Shelby Merk scored the winning run on a passed ball as Kamiak defeated Monroe in a 4A District 1 Tournament consolation game. The Knights advance to face Snohomish in a loser-out game, Thursday at 3 p.m. at Snohomish.
