Auditor’s office looking for help in writing voters guide

The county elections office is seeking help in writing pro and con statements on ballot issues for the voters guide.

EVERETT – Anyone interested in helping draft pro or con statements for ballot issues in the Aug. 6 primary is encouraged to apply to the Snohomish County Elections Division.
The county Auditor's Office expects to appoint people to the pro and con committees by Monday. Statements are due by May 24.
The committees prepare statements for the local voters pamphlet either in favor of or against local ballot measures.
Members are being sought for the following committees:
•City of Monroe, Sales and Use Tax Increase for Criminal Justice Purposes -- con committee.
Snohomish County Fire District 4, EMS Regular Property Tax Levy -- con committee.
Snohomish County Fire District 28, EMS Regular Property Tax Levy -- pro and con committees.
Arlington Transportation Benefit District, Sales and Use Tax for Transportation Improvements -- pro and con committees.
Committee assignments are subject to appointment by the auditor in compliance with local administrative rules for the voters pamphlet.
