Arlington softball advances to semifinals

Lake Stevens keeps its season alive

The Arlington softball team won both of its games by shutout on Friday to lead the Eagles into the 4A State softball semifinals.

The Eagles advance to play Richland Saturday at 9 a.m. The Bombers beat Newport 13-2 to advance to the semifinal game. Arlington beat Todd Beamer 12-0 in the semifinals after defeating South Kitsap 4-0 earlier in the morning.

After losing its first-round game to Camas earlier in the day, Lake Stevens beat Olympia 6-4 in the consolation round and is playing Central Valley right now to advance to the consolation quarterfinals.
