'Uncle Tom's Cabin' next book in series

The Everett Public Library continues its Books You've Always Meant to Read series with "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher Stowe.
You can take part in a free discussion lead by Bethany Reid, a poet and professor at Everett Community College, of Stowe's anti-slavery novel at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the main library auditorium.
Reid will discuss the historical and cultural influences of the novel and Stowe's portrayal of African-Americans.
