Workshops teach kids woodworking, tool skills

Kids can have a zoomin' good time at the library building a little race car to take home.
The Everett Public Library and Home Depot are offering an opportunity for kids ages 5 to 12 to learn basic woodworking skills and how to handle tools safely at two workshops in June.
The first is at 2 p.m. June 8 in the main library's activity room, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
The second workshop is at 2 p.m. June 15 at the Evergreen Branch, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett.
Both events are free but limited to 25 children on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 425-257-8030 for more information.
