Motorcyclist injured in 2-car crash near Oak Harbor

OAK HARBOR -- A 51-year-old Oak Harbor man was treated for serious injuries on Saturday after he was hit on his motorcycle by a man driving a van, according to the State Patrol.
The van driver, a 45-year-old Oak Harbor man, was not injured in the 7:50 a.m. accident. He tried to turn left in front of the motorcyclist at the intersection of SW Fort Nugent Avenue and SW Stremler Drive and the two collided, according to the State Patrol.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
