Learn about rain gardens, help plant one on Saturday

Volunteers are needed to help put in a rain garden on Camano Island on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Before the planting, you'll get a chance to learn about rain gardens in an educational workshop. Participants will learn about the use of rain gardens to filter storm water, which plants work best, and how to access free help adding a rain garden to their yards. Then you'll get to put what you know to work in an actual garden.

If you're interested, you can learn more and register for the event here. It's free, but organizers would like to know how many people to expect.
