Storm's Clark named assistant coach at Middle Tennessee State
"It's a win-win for us," Insell said. "She knows what our expectations and goals are here at MT. What better person to go in and share what Middle Tennessee is all about than Alysha Clark? To bring someone in with her work ethic and personality I think is fantastic for our program. We are excited to have here on board."
Clark has played professional basketball for four years. She was originally drafted by San Antonio in the second round of the 2010 WNBA draft, but never played a game with the Silver Stars. She signed a free-agent contract with the Storm in March of 2012 and appeared in 23 games, averaging 3.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Clark made the team again in 2013 and is currently on the Storm roster. She will remain with the team until the season is complete this fall.
Clark is one of the most successful players in MT's history. She scored 1,756 career points (8th all-time) in just two seasons. She averaged 27.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game as a Blue Raider.
