Skirt chasers
I feel pretty: In Sweden, commuters were startled by the sight of male train drivers and conductors wearing skirts to work, in protest of a ban on wearing shorts.
The company that runs the train line said it was perfectly OK with male workers wearing women’s clothes, as long as they also wear panty hose and refrain from the fashion faux pas of white shoes before Memorial Day.
With malice toward none: In Pennsylvania, a retiring college president was cleaning out a closet in his office when he stumbled on an amazing historical artifact: a long-lost document signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863.
In the document, Lincoln asked an aide to find out just how many years are in a four score, anyway.
These aren’t the droids you’re looking for: In Denver, Transportation Security Administration agents briefly stopped actor Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca in the original three “Star Wars” movies) as he was boarding a flight with a cane shaped like a light saber.
Asked to comment on the matter, Chewie said, “HOWWWWLLLLL! HOWWWWWLLLL! HOWL! HOWL! HOWWWWLLLLL!”
