The Stanwood Police Department has moved its popular Facebook page.
The page is now a “business”-style page instead of a “friend” page.
The new link is here: www.facebook.com/

They’re still transitioning the content, as you can see.
Meanwhile, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office also has a new-ish Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pages/Snohomish-County-Sheriffs-Office/179360692138012.
Reminder, Everett police are here: www.facebook.com/pages/Everett-Police/241763425873463. Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell shares regular blotter items that may not make the paper — beer thefts, dumb crooks, traffic problems, that kind of stuff.
The Facebook pages are good ways to keep tabs on local police, especially community outreach efforts.
One recent example?
The attached photos — real images of a stolen car that was stripped and later recovered by Stanwood police. The images were shared via Facebook.
