3 guided bird watching walks coming up

Join the Pilchuck Audubon Society for guided bird walks coming up in June. See the website, pilchuckaudubon.org, or call 425-252-0926 for more information.
Tuesday, Ellensburg area: Meet at 6:30 a.m. at Monroe park-and-ride on U.S 2, 1/2 mile west of the fairgrounds. We will bird portions of Umtanum Creek area, Robinson Canyon and other areas. Hope to see yellow-breasted chat, warbling vireo, lazuli bunting and maybe canyon and rock wren. Pack a lunch. Trip leaders: Margaret Bridge, 360-862-1694, and Wilma Bayes, 360-629-2028.
June 22, Centennial Trail: Meet at 8 a.m. at Everett Mall. Park in back near L.A. Fitness and the Everett Transit Center facility. Hike will start at Lake Cassidy trailhead and continue until group agrees to turn around. Bring snacks, water, sun screen, a hat, good walking shoes and binoculars if you have them, We might stop afterwards for a late lunch. Leader: Jonathan Blubaugh, 425-244-7633,
June 25, Mid-Whidbey Island: Meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Quilceda Village Walmart lot west of Marysville (I-5 Exit 200). Park away from the store, to the east, near Quilceda Boulevard, next to I-5. Birding area is between Crockett Lake and Swantown. Pack a lunch. Trip leaders: Art Wait, 360-563-0181, and Virginia Clark, 360-435-3750.
