If Tuesday was Boeing’s 787 day at the Paris Air Show, then Wednesday was the 737’s day turn.
Here’s a look at 737 announcements Boeing made Wednesday:
The Chicago-based company announced it would pull in the delivery date on the 737 MAX by three months, moving it to the third quarter of 2017. Southwest Airlines will be the first airline to get the upgraded single aisle jet.
Leasing company CIT Group has placed an order for 30 737 MAX 8s. The order is valued at $3 billion at list prices.
Oman Air said it has ordered five 737-900 ER aircraft in a deal valued at $473 million at list prices.
Boeing and Ryanair finalized an order for 175 737-800s. That deal initially was announced in March. The order is valued at $15.6 billion at list prices.
Finally, Travel Service, which is based in the Czech Republic, placed a tentative order for three 737 MAX 8s. The order, valued at $301.5 million at list prices, has not been finalized.
