Police arrest auto-theft suspects
MARYSVILLE -- Detectives with the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force have busted up a chop shop that was operating in the Lake Goodwin area.
They've arrested one suspect and are asking for the public's help finding another, sheriff's Lt. Jeff Brand said Wednesday. Police believe the two men could be responsible for more than 30 vehicle thefts in the Everett and Marysville areas.
Arrested was a Marysville man, 30. Police now are looking for James L. Phillips, 30. Phillips is believed to be homeless.
Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts should call 911. People should not approach him.
The investigation started about three months ago, Brand said. The pair also are believed to be linked to burglaries in the area.
