SEATTLE — Police say a group of downtown Seattle skateboarders beat up a passing bicyclist after one skateboarder caused the cyclist to crash.
KOMO-TV reported that according to a police report, the male victim was riding north in a bike lane Sunday evening on Fourth Avenue when someone rolled a skateboard into his path. When the cyclist tried to confront the skateboarder, the group reportedly surrounded him and one person punched him in the face, knocking him down.
The victim later told police the group started kicking him in the head and ribs until he lost consciousness.
The report said some people nearby intervened to stop the attack.
The victim said later he thinks one of the attackers took his iPhone while he was knocked out.
