He is indeed keeping promises

Prior to our war for independence, patriot Thomas Paine authored "Common Sense" in which he spoke out against the despotism of King George and risked all by doing so. His pamphlet went "viral" for the times and was key in providing the spark that helped cause the colonists to rise up against British tyranny resulting in winning our freedom. It began, "These are the times that try men's souls." Because of the IRS, NSA and other scandals, some of my acquaintances have indicated they will stop writing letters to the editor or criticizing this administration on the Internet because of their fear of being audited or worse. While their fears may be justified, they should remember that the signers of the Declaration of Independence pledged "our lives, our property and our sacred honor." Many gave all but their sacred honor!
After losing the House in the 2012 elections, President Obama stated to his supporters they "needed to get in the faces of their opponents." Further, "that they need to punish their enemies." As evidence, these were two of the few promises he has kept. In "Common Sense" Paine went on to say: "The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now deserves the love and thanks of men and women." Our military men and women whom have, and are willing, for our Constitution and freedom, to give their all know what this means. Will you stand with them?
