EVERETT — Everett police have arrested the man suspected of causing a fatal crash Friday on Highway 529.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail Sunday afternoon for investigation of vehicular homicide. He is expected to appear Monday in Everett District Court, where a judge will decide if there is probable cause to hold him.
The man reportedly lost control of his Ford Explorer on northbound Highway 529. The Explorer struck a guardrail, rolled and then crashed into a median near Steamboat Slough. A passenger in the vehicle was ejected.
He died at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The driver, believed to be a 40-year-old Ocean Shores man, was taken to a local hospital. Once he was released, police arrested him.
