Man arrested in Arlington allegedly threatened ex-boss

ARLINGTON -- An Arlington man arrested Sunday by heavily armed SWAT officers was wanted for allegedly threatening an ex boss with a knife.
The man, 38, reportedly had a knife in one hand as he stormed toward his former employer after being fired June 14. He dropped the weapon when he got close, but not before putting his ex-boss in fear for his life, according to Snohomish County sheriff's deputies.
The knife was snatched up by a co-worker and returned to the man later.
The sheriff's office report on the incident didn't say where the man had been working. He was arrested Sunday afternoon at his home in the 23600 block of Jordan Road.
He was held at the Snohomish County Jail in Everett for investigation of felony second-degree assault but was released Monday after being ordered to have no contact with his former employer. No charges have been filed.
Sheriff's detectives with the major crimes unit requested SWAT assist with the arrest.
The man also is under investigation in Everett for misdemeanor fourth-degree assault involving domestic violence, according to police reports.
