No workplace deaths in county in 2012

There were no reported workplace fatalities in Snohomish County in 2012, according to the state Department of Labor & Industries.

There were 57 workplace deaths in Washington during that time.

As of late May, there were no reported workplace fatalities in the county this year either, according to the state records. (That number does not count suicides.)

In Snohomish County, vehicles, falls and machinery accounted for most of the workplace deaths in the previous decade or so.

For background on the topic, and how results are counted, see our June 2012 Need To Know.

The state's website regarding workplace deaths is here.

You can read the 2012 annual report here or in the attached PDF to the right.
