SEATTLE — Seattle Police are investigating a Nevada man arrested near the University of Washington in a stolen pickup truck filled with weapons, body armor and suspected explosive devices.
Police spokesman Sgt. Sean Whitcomb said the man was taken into custody Wednesday night and booked into the King County Jail, after campus police recognized the truck stolen in Montana.
They contacted Seattle police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation after searching the vehicle and finding the scoped rifle, shotgun and suspected bombs.
Whitcomb said this is an on-going criminal investigation and did not release the man’s name or other details.
