Associated Press
BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics have signed 7-footer Kelly Olynyk, who was acquired during last month's NBA draft.
On draft day, Celtics general manager Danny Ainge sent the No. 16 overall selection and two second-round choices to the Dallas Mavericks, who had selected Olynyk with the 13th overall pick.
Olynyk was fifth in voting for the Wooden Award this past season. He averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in leading Gonzaga to a 32-3 record.
Olynyk made his summer-league debut Sunday and scored 25 points in the Celtics' 95-88 loss to the Houston Rockets.
