Re-opening of Washington Plywood corporation's Lowell plant was announced today by Ted Goodson, general manager. The cooperative firm, closed for several months after operating with a skeleton crew for a time, expected to be in production again some time next week. For many years the mill had been known as Walton Plywood.
Ron Johnson, 17, would be the first Everett student under the present American Field Service program to spend an entire school term abroad as an exchange student. The Everett High School student was to spend his senior year at Rheinfall, Switzerland, which was just a few miles from the West German border.

George Dorr was named Boss of the Year and Shirley Snell and Elizabeth Riley Elisaon earned Credit woman of the year awards at the Annual Champaign Bosses Breakfast held recently by Everett CWI Credit Professionals at Everett Golf and Country Club.
Prices were reduced and there was a whole lotta saving goin' on at the Firestone stores in Everett, Mill Creek and Lynnwood. Firestone brand tires for every car were on sale for savings from 5 to 40 percent.
