Seems Like Yesterday
Half a dozen staff members at Everett High School were teaching summer school. They were Lionell Bussell, Adelaide Dykstra, Myron Williams, Craig McLennan, Gordon Millikan and Eleanor Nazarenus. They were joined by Ruth Packard of South Junior and Ernie Dire of Cascade. Bob Crumbaugh, EHS vice principal, was in charge of the summer session.
At the meeting last week of Puget Sound Auxiliary No. 2888, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lynnwood, Alda Sholset was elected and installed as madam vice president. Delores Pearson was appointed and installed as madam treasurer. Installation was done by Past Madam President Sybil Sweeney. The Auxiliary was also planning its "Hidden Price Sale" of knickknacks.

The Ben Franklin store on U.S. 2 in Monroe was having a Christmas in July handicraft celebration. It included a needle punch demonstration, several tulip fabric painting demonstrations and a silk painting demonstration.
Fabricland was having a grand opening celebration sale with the opening of its brand new Walla Walla store, at all other locations including the store at Lynnwood Square on 44th Ave.All fabrics were 30 percent off.
