Army Reserve Pvt. Benjamin C. Moore has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Moore is the son of Ann Moore of Longview. He is a 2006 graduate of Mariner High School.
Navy Ensign Eran Wilson, son of Steve and Resa Howard of Bothell, received his Navy Pilot Wings at a ceremony in May at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station in Texas. Wilson went to Kirkland Seventh Day Adventist Academy and graduated from Walla Walla University in 2011 with a degree in aviation. He earned his commission through officer candidate school and has been in pilot training since November 2011. He graduated first in his class and is scheduled to fly the new, modified Boeing 737 P-8A Poseidon at Jacksonville Air Station, Fla.
Army Staff Sgt. Kasumi K. Leonard has re-enlisted in the U.S. Army. Leonard is a flutist assigned to The United States Army Field Band at Fort George G. Meade, Md. She has served in the military for three years.
She is the daughter of Mark Leonard and Izumi Kuroiwa of Santa Fe, N.M., granddaughter of Robert Leonard of Bothell. Leonard graduated in 2005 from Roosevelt High School, Seattle. She earned a bachelor's degree in 2009 from Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N.Y.
Air Force Airman Kendall L. Floyd graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Floyd earned distinction as an honor graduate. She is the daughter of Don Floyd of Everett. The airman is a 2008 graduate of Winter Haven High School in Florida.
