Artist's muse

Hey, she looks familiar: Marianne, a symbol of France for more than 200 years, is featured on a new postage stamp, and controversy ensued when the stamp's designer disclosed that the icon's image was modeled after a Ukrainian activist who routinely whips off her top at protests.

The designer can just forget about any ideas he might have had for a U.S. postage stamp featuring Lady Liberty modeled after Courtney Love.

And they'll stand in line all day to pay it: AT&T is making it easier for customers who simply must have the latest and greatest technology to upgrade their cellphones more frequently, as long as they're willing to pay as much as $50 a month on top of their service plan.

You might call it the Apple Fanboy Fee.

Must-not-stop-watching TV: A psychologist claims that binge viewing of a single TV show releases in the brain a neurotransmitter that is considered an element of addiction.

Known side effects of binge viewing include bleary eyes, periods of intense reclusiveness resulting in diminished personal relationships and permanently deformed sofa cushions, and an unhealthy preoccupation with whether Don Draper will revert to Dick Whitman on Season 7 of "Mad Men."
