The city of Everett is gearing up for its annual "Cinema Under The Stars" outdoor movie series at Thornton A. Sullivan Park near Silver Lake with the first showing, "The Pirates – Band of Misfits," planned for Friday.
Pre-show entertainment by the Imagine Children's Museum Arts and Crafts department will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the movie is scheduled to begin at dusk. Bring a blanket or camping chair and some snacks Movies are scheduled to show every Friday through Aug. 16. For a full schedule and more information, go to www.everettwa.org/default.aspx?ID=1024

Yard sale at Everett storage firm: Everett Downtown Storage is hosting their third annual Giant Indoor Yard Sale and Storage Auction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 3615 McDougall Ave., Everett.
The event is open to the public to come shop, sell or bid during an the auction.
People who rent with Everett Downtown Storage can offer to sell items directly out of their storage units while others can set up day of sale space in the storage facility. Last year, more than 500 people attended.
The business also is conducting a storage unit auction sale similar to the reality show, "Storage Wars." Food and music will be available.
Proceeds from day of sale space rentals and a raffle will support the Wounded Warrior Project.
