So I had a column in Sunday’s Herald about the crazy amount of expectations and hype surrounding the Seahawks, and wouldn’t you know it, but on Monday when, Sports Illustrated’s much anticipated (at least in football media geek circles) all NFL website The MMQB launched, there was a very noticeable Seahawks presence.
One of the top stories on the site is a video interview with Russell Wilson:
And perhaps more interesting is an article by Richard Sherman that gets into a bit of what makes him the player and person that he is. Even better, the article says that Sherman will write regularly for the site.
In other Seahawks “news” a reminder that single game tickets go on sale at 10 am today.
And in what could be come a significant league-wide story, Albert Breer of the NFL Network is reporting that the league and the NFLPA are close to finally getting human growth hormone testing going in the NFL, and for this season.
The NFL and NFLPA have made progress towards an agreement to implement hGH testing for the 2013 season. …

… One source said sides are “much further along” than they have been at any point on hGH testing since agreeing to work towards it in 2011

NFLPA sent an email to players to apprise them that they should be prepared to provide blood samples for hGH population study during camp.
