It’s a bouncing baby prince

We are amused: Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, wife of Prince William, gave birth Monday to a baby boy, third in line to the throne. Grandfather Prince Charles said he was eagerly looking forward to meeting his first grandchild.

And great grandfather Prince Philip already was rehearsing inappropriate things to say to the child, including "Your Highness' nappy smells like the Thames," "Stop crying; it's only your Grandmum Camilla" and "Pull our Royal Finger."

The mayo clinic: Joe and Terry Graedon and their "People's Pharmacy" syndicated column say if you're in need of some simple first aid you may find relief in the fridge. The couple recommend yellow mustard for minor burns and leg cramps, finely ground black pepper for cuts and sliced onion for bee stings.

And if those home remedies don't provide relief, take along two pieces of bread and some salami and you've got lunch while you wait for a doctor in the ER.

More food for thought: A study of older men found that those who skipped breakfast had a 27 percent higher risk of heart attack than those who ate a morning meal.

You can try, guys, but we doubt your doctor is going to tell you to wrap your daily baby aspirin in two strips of bacon.
