Rescue volunteers plan fundraiser for ailing girl

LAKE STEVENS -- Snohomish County search and rescue volunteers plan a fundraiser picnic this weekend for a young girl who's been diagnosed with leukemia.
The fundraiser for Emma Loney, 14, is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Schwarzmiller Farm at 4229 Schwarzmiller Road. Attendees are asked to make a donation to Emma's family for her medical costs. Emma's relatives are active with search and rescue.
Barbecue will be served. People can bring side dishes. No alcohol is allowed.
