Crash briefly snarls southbound I-5 traffic near Marysville

MARYSVILLE — Southbound traffic on I-5 was snarled briefly Sunday evening after a crash blocked all lanes, the state Department of Transportation reported.
The accident, reported around 7:45, is at I-5 near Highway 529 in south Marysville. Traffic was being diverted through Everett along the Snohomish River Bridge on Highway 529.
Medics and the Washington State Patrol were called to the scene.
A Seattle mother and her 7-year-old son were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, but were not believed to be seriously hurt, the Washington State Patrol reported.
All lanes were reopened shortly after 8 p.m.
