County Council

Blake dedicated to the community

In these times of political uncertainties and polarization of political beliefs, it is comforting to be able to recognize a leader for his attributes and experience and for what he can contribute to our community. Such is expressed in the candidacy of Bill Blake for a position on the Snohomish County Council.
I have known and worked with Bill for five years, during my involvement as a volunteer member of the Arlington Parks and Recreation Commission. I have invited him as a speaker at our Gleneagle ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) meetings on several occasions and our members are always excited to hear what he has to say. Never have I seen an individual who has given as much to his community as has Bill Blake. His involvement in working with the local tribes and state and county agencies in efforts to sustain and improve the natural resources of this area go far beyond his job description.
Bill is a member of a pioneer Snohomish County family going back over four generations. His commitment is to the area and those who live in it. Rarely, does a man of such high qualifications come along to offer his dedication and expertise to his community. Such is this man. Let us not allow his candidacy to go unrewarded.
