Published:
SEATTLE -- A dry streak that began on June 27 has ended with a drizzly day in Seattle.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jay Albrecht said Friday's rainfall total at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport measured about .08 of an inch through early evening, when the drizzle tapered off.
The Weather Service said precipitation needs to reach the .01 mark to be considered measureable.
It was dry through July at Sea-Tac for the first time since 1960.
