A record? Maybe

Albert DaSilva of Kelso caught this 16-pound dorado while fishing for tuna 35 miles out of Ilwaco on Aug. 1.

Joe Hymer of the state Department of Fish and Wildlife said it was caught on a purple/black clone while trolling.

Hymer said the fish is a "possible" state record. There is no current state record for a sport-caught dorado, he said.
