One dead in Lynnwood stabbing

LYNNWOOD -- One man is dead and another has been arrested following a stabbing in Lynnwood overnight.

Police were called to a home in the 5400 block of 204th Street SW just after midnight, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.

Witnesses reported that a Snohomish County man, 35, stabbed the victim, 33, in the house and rode off on a bicycle.

Police found the suspect a dozen blocks away.

He has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Detectives on Thursday morning were interviewing witnesses who were in the house at the time, Sessions said.

The victim and the suspect didn't live in the home where the stabbing occurred.

"While the two were known to each other, the nature of why they were having a disagreement is still under investigation," Sessions said.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS or send a text by entering the number 274637 (spells Crimes) on the "To" Line, then type Tip486 and what you want to say in the Message Box. Tips also can be emailed to All tips are confidential and can earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.
