Swiss mess

Not one of Oprah's favorite things: Oprah says she ran into Swiss racism when a clerk at a Zurich shop, who apparently didn't recognize her as one of the world's richest women, refused to show her a $38,000 hand bag, telling Oprah that she wouldn't be able to afford it.

Orpah than ran up and down the streets of Zurich, pointing at its shop owners and yelling, "You get a lawsuit! And you get a lawsuit!"

Take two tokes and call me in the morning: CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta has recanted his earlier stance that marijuana held no medical benefits for people and was used mostly by "malingerers who just wanted to get high." Gupta says more recent research has convinced him otherwise that cannabis can benefit some patients.

Among those praising Gupta's change of heart was the National Association of Malingerers Who Just Want to Get High.

Don't know much about history: On this day in 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed a measure that provided $20,000 payments to living Japanese-Americans who had been held in internment camps by the U.S. government during World War II.

See, Oprah, here's the difference: Actual victims of racism, even with an apology from their government, still wouldn't have had enough money to buy a $38,000 purse.
