Monday Seahawks notes: Sid a full go, Percy back in town
"When you get more plays throughout the game, you get more of a rhythm, so that’s the biggest thing for us—can we get in a rhythm and stay in a rhythm throughout the game?" Wilson said.
And while Miller is almost certain to be out seeing as he hasn't practiced yet in camp, Rice's full participation could be a sign he's ready for game action.
"Having Sidney out there is a luxury," Wilson said. "Having him out there is so nice, because he’s got so much ability catching the ball. . . Just watching Sidney catch the ball, his catching range in unbelievable. Anything you throw to him, he’ll catch it. Just to be able to throw to him, a guy who’s so knowledgeable about the game, a guy who loves to play, a guy who’s a leader for our wide receivers, it’s good to have him."
Harvin, meanwhile, won't be back until late in the season, but he is now back rehabbing at team headquarters, which still provides a boost according to Wilson.
"Every morning I see Percy, he’s got his headphones on, he’s locked in," Wilson said. "He’s trying to get back as fast as he can. He’s so motivated. It’s going to take him some time obviously, but just to have him around, have a guy like that who brings energy when he walks into the room—that’s what you want. You want a guy who, when he walks into the room, you feel his energy, you feel his passion, you feel his love for the game, and Percy definitely has that."
Today was not a talking-to-the-media day for Pete Carroll, so no injury updates to pass along, though a few players did return to action who had been out: WR Perez Ashford, T Michael Person and TE Darren Fells.
There were also a few players sitting out today after practicing Sunday, including DT Jesse Williams, LB Bobby Wagner and DE/DT Michael Bennett.
