SNOHOMISH -- A rescue team was called out Wednesday afternoon to help a man who became stranded on an island after a boating mishap on the Snohomish River.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office dive team was deployed to the 13700 block of Short School Road, officials said.
The man's boat apparently got caught on a snag in the river and flipped over, dumping him into the water, sheriff's office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The man was wearing a life jacket.
