The 18th annual festival of working artists, Fresh Paint, takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Port of Everett Marina.
The entire promenade will be filled with painters, potters, glass-blowers, photographers and jewelry makers, all working as well as showing and selling their creations.
Kids can make friendship folios and magnets with Schack Art Center instructors. Glacier Peak High School art students will paint faces and tie-dye. And all the activities are free.
Fresh Paint continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the port, 1700 W. Marine View Drive.
You can also float on over to Jetty Island Saturday on the ferry to see if you can find sea glass floats made at the Schack and hidden on the beach.
Catch the free ferry at 10th Street Marina Park. The hunt begins at 10:30 a.m.
Don't feel like hunting? Head over to Everett's Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., and make your own glass floats with one of the glass artists. Call 425-259-5050 to make a reservation.
