Live art: Fresh Paint, a festival of working artists, is Saturday and Sunday at the Port of Everett Marina. The entire promenade will be filled with painters, potters, glass-blowers, photographers and jewelry makers, all working as well as showing and selling their creations. Food fest: Gourmet food trucks will fill Hoyt Avenue in Everett from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Some of the trucks you can expect to see are: Streetzeria, Lumpia World, Contigo, Tokyo Dogs, Jemil's Big Easy, The Sammich Truck, Bite Me Cupcakes, Ezelle's Fried Chicken, Nosh; Box Nature Sushi, Where Ya At Matt?, Curry Now, Taco Time Traveller and more. Live music: The Everett Music Initiative is throwing a party with one of Seattle's biggest bands, Deep Sea Diver, on Saturday. Kairos and Everett's own I Will Keep Your Ghost will also be playing. The show is the after party for the Everett Craft Beer Festival and the Fresh Paint Festival that are also that day. The show is for those 21 and over and will be held in the alley behind 2812 Hoyt Ave. in Everett. Music starts at 7 and will go till around 10:30. More live music: The Snohomish Taste of Music is Friday to Sunday. Musicians will be performing on several stages around town. The main stage is $5 per day but the other stages are free. Get all the info here.
A bit of The Herald: The Herald will be relocating to a new home in Everett early next year. We need to clean. What do we need to clear out? Chairs, desks, tables, office supplies, camera equipment, old newspapers, office artwork, and cork-boards to name a few. The garage sale is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in our parking lot at the corner of California Street and Grand Avenue. All of the proceeds raised will go to The Herald Editorial Scholarship Fund through the Greater Everett Community Foundation.
Up in the sky: The Flying Heritage Collection's Free Fly Day is at noon Saturday. It will feature a Messerschmitt Bf 109, rare Focke-Wulf Fw 190, and the Fieseler Storch. Planes fly from Paine Field. Watch them from outside the museum, at 3407 109th St. SW. The event is weather dependent and does not include admission to the museum. More info here.

Clean dogs: Scrub-A-Mutt dog wash is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Strawberry Fields Athletic Park, 6100 152nd St. NE, Marysville. Suggested donations are $5-$10; nail trims are $5. More clean dogs: The Camano Animal Shelter Association will have a Dog Wash fundraiser event, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, located at the corner of Can Ku Road and East Camano Drive on Camano Island. Night at the beach: Dress warmly and bring a flashlight for the Moonlight Beach Adventure from 7:30 to 9:30 Saturday at Marina Beach, 650 Admiral Way S., Edmonds. See birds: The Pilchuck Audubon Society hosts a bird walk along Everett's Langus Riverfront Trail on Sunday. Meet at 10 a.m. in the picnic shelter at Langus Riverfront Park, 400 Smith Island Road, off Highway 529. Much of the walk is wheelchair accessible and kid-friendly. Jonathan Blubaugh leads the walk.
